As of Monday May 11th 2020, our office has reopened for routine dental care! Outlined here will be some new procedures and precautions we will be taking. Prior to coming in for or scheduling an appointment, we will be screening patients. The screening questions are as follows:


-Had a fever

-Cold/flu like symptoms

-A persistent dry cough

-Been around someone who has, possibly has had, or been diagnosed with COVID-19

If you answer yes to any of these questions, we will need to reschedule your appointment for 3 weeks out. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we are doing our best to minimize risks to our staff and patients. Thank you for understanding.

I understand people will be (and have been) rightfully concerned going to public places during the last few months. I can assure you that we are following all protocols to keep people safe during this pandemic. We have implemented some additional precautions to further protect our patients and staff. Will some of this seem excessive? Absolutely. That being said, I can guarantee you all our offices will be safer than any grocery store, pharmacy, or public space you will be visiting during this pandemic. The new procedures are as follows:

1.) We ask you make every effort possible to come to your appointments alone. Obviously this will not always be the case, but we ask you try your best to do so. We also ask if possible to wear a mask or face cover when you arrive.

2.) When you arrive for your appointment, one of our staff will be taking your temperature with a contactless thermometer. If you have a fever, or even have a slightly elevated body temperature, we ask that you leave our office, return to your vehicle, call, and reschedule your appointment for 3 weeks out. Please do not take that as being rude as we are doing this to protect all individuals that visit our office. Our staff (including myself) will all also have their temperatures taken each morning as they arrive.

3.) If your temperature is normal, we will have you return to your vehicle. Your assistant or hygienist will either call your cell phone or come get you when they are ready. We will not be permitting people to wait in our waiting room at this time. I will make certain you are seated AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. In some cases, you may be able to be taken back right away. For those that need to do medical updates, we will only be doing paper forms at this time. We will either have you take it with you to your car and complete it there, or have you complete it in the treatment room that either the assistant or hygienist takes you. Please keep the pen! :-)

4.) Prior to the start of each appointment, we ask that you rinse with the peroxide solution we have at our office (Colgate's Peroxyl) as this compound has been found to denature the coronavirus.

5.) When you are brought back to our treatment rooms, and brought up to check out at the front desk, we will make certain that you and your assistant/hygienist will be the only ones at that moment traveling to or from the entrance of the office to the treatment areas. This will comply with social distancing and limited contact with others.

6.) Our staff will be provided with all necessary PPE to safely treat patients. I have made every effort to acquire the necessary items these last few weeks. The safety of our patients and staff is paramount to anything else we do.

I truly CANNOT WAIT to see you all again. It has been an honor and a privilege to have been able to meet and work with ALL of you. This experience has made me further realize how incredibly fortunate I am to have such amazing patients and staff. God bless you all and see you soon!
